      USA

In North America, I was particularly captivated by the United States. The country is unimaginably large compared to the European countries I am mainly used to. Thus, the country also has a variety of ecosystems such as coasts, forests, grasslands, mountains, deserts, etc. to offer. This is especially attractive because you can move around in different ecosystems without leaving the same country. Because of this great variety and the sheer endless expanses, one does not get bored so quickly. There is always something new to discover. So far, I have been drawn to the States three times.

        Canada

Canada has fascinated me in a very special way. The country is not only vast beyond imagination—especially when compared to the compact European countries I am most familiar with—but also incredibly diverse in its landscapes. From rugged coastlines and dense boreal forests to sweeping prairies, towering mountain ranges, and remote Arctic regions, Canada offers an astonishing array of ecosystems. What makes it particularly appealing is the ability to experience such different natural environments without ever crossing a border. Thanks to this remarkable variety and the endless expanses of wilderness, there is always something new to discover. Even after a single visit, this diversity and magnitude have made a lasting impact that continues to shape my perspective on travel in North America.
