Liechtenstein

    Liechtenstein 2018 - 2022

Nestled in the heart of Europe, the tiny principality of Liechtenstein may not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of hiking destinations, but this charming country has a lot to offer hikers of all levels. With its stunning mountain vistas and well-maintained trails, Liechtenstein is a hiker's paradise. The best time to hike in Liechtenstein is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is warm, and the days are long. The country has a well-developed network of hiking trails, with over 400 kilometers of marked routes ranging from easy strolls to challenging mountain treks.

One of the most popular hiking trails in Liechtenstein is the Fürstin-Gina-Weg, also known as the Princess Gina Trail. This scenic route takes hikers from Malbun via the Pfälzerhütte (restaurant) to the top station of the Sareis chairlift. From there, you can then take the chairlift back to the starting point in Malbun. The trail is well-marked and can be easily completed in a day. Almost all elevated vantage points in Liechtenstein offer a great view of the St. Gallen Rhine Valley. Overall, hiking in Liechtenstein is an unforgettable experience, offering stunning scenery and well-maintained trails. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or a beginner, there's something for everyone in this charming country, so pack your hiking boots and head out to explore the stunning landscapes of Liechtenstein.
