I planned the trip to England very spontaneously in spring 2016 during Easter Break with a friend of mine from secondary school. One of us came up with the idea to spend the four days in London, England and so we checked how much it would cost and only a few days later we have actually booked a flight and a room. It was a crazy idea but absolutely worth it. I was really in need of a short break at that time. On the first day we did not do a lot. We searched for our hotel and after we’ve checked in, we took the Tube to Camden Market.
He had just been in a language stay near London a few weeks before our trip and wanted to show me this incredible place he had found back then. Just after a few seconds I fell in love with it. The place had something really charming and I was fully energized to explore it. We also found a hidden library in one of the underground shops. I think what made the library so special was that it was located right next to a little restaurant where a man was playing on a piano. It was clear for both of us that we would come back to Camden Market during our short stay. After we explored most of the place we went back to the hotel. On the next day we went to Westminster to see the Big Ben and the London Eye. After that we have met a friend of mine and in the evening, we went to The Shard which is a modern architectural masterpiece. And the view you can enjoy on the top floors of it over the whole city is simply stunning. The next day we were pretty exhausted since we have been walking around a lot the previous day. So, we decided to sleep in. Once we’ve got up we met a friend of his who he got to know during his language stay. The last and final day we went to Camden Market one last time. I was very sad to leave London and continue my normal life again in Switzerland and I assume so was he. But this was not our last adventure for sure!
