In 2019 I had the pleasure of embarking on a breathtaking flightseeing tour with a friend of mine that took me on an unforgettable journey through some very stunning landscapes in Switzerland. Starting in the town of Hohenems (Austria), our journey took us across the stunning Lake Constance region and into the Swiss Alps.
As we took off from Hohenems, I felt a rush of excitement as I gazed out at the picturesque landscape below. Our small plane soared effortlessly over the snow packed mountains, providing us with stunning views of the Swiss-Austrian countryside. As we approached the Lake Constance region, I was struck by the sheer beauty of the area. The crystal-clear waters of the lake sparkled in the sunlight, while the surrounding mountains provided a stunning backdrop to our flight. After taking in the breathtaking scenery, we landed at a small airstrip for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. After our meal, we continued our flight along the peak of “Hoher Kasten”, Säntis and the Churfirsten mountain range right next to Lake Walensee as our highlights. As we flew over these towering mountains, I could not help but feel a sense of awe at the sheer scale and beauty of the natural world. As we made our way further into the Swiss Alps, we were treated to a series of jaw-dropping views, including a close flyby of the Jakobshorn and several other towering peaks. The landscape below us was a patchwork of needle tree forests, and snow-capped mountains, each more beautiful than the last. Finally, as our flight came to a close, we made our way back to Hohenems, where we landed smoothly and safely back on solid ground. Looking back on the experience, I can safely say that it was one of the most incredible things I have ever done. The beauty and majesty of the natural world is truly unparalleled, and I feel so grateful to have been able to witness it all from such a unique perspective. If you ever get the chance to take a flightseeing tour like this, I would highly recommend it. It is an experience that you will never forget!
